The California housing crisis has been circulating in the news. In one city, San Jose, housing costs have nearly doubled since 2012. Other large tech companies have also stated they would help contribute, potentially because they feel responsible. These companies have attracted so many jobs to the area, they may be contributing to the massive amounts of homelessness there just by being there.
The grants will include millions toward a variety of housing projects, as well as converting an Apple property itself into affordable housing.
The Governor of California, Gavin Newson, in response to the donation stated;
“The sky-high cost of housing, both for homeowners and renters, is the defining quality-of-life concern for millions of families across this state, one that can only be fixed by building more housing. This partnership with Apple will allow the state of California to do just that” – Gavin Newsom

Clear out the neighborhoods and put in public parks so those known addresses will disappear! Yes, your address does matter! Then, each new building must be well-built, placed within the integrated community, and policed by a concierge in the front lobby, possibly a veteran with a police background who can work the safety of the occupants. The wealthy enjoy this privilege and the poor require it. No drug dealer or pimp… Read more »
