Major League Baseball is set to run for a short 60 game season (compared to the normal 162 game season) beginning in July. The decision was a contentious one.
On July 23rd or 24th, the first game will be played. Contention between the multi-million dollar players and billionaire owners
Some players are already disagreeing with the decision:
“What happens when we all get it?” Milwaukee pitcher Brett Anderson tweeted this week.
#MLB and the #MLBPA continue to exchange ideas with the health and safety protocols. There are no major snags. The union already informed MLB that it plans to play, and be in spring training camps by July 1 with a 60-game season starting July 24-26 weekend.— Bob Nightengale (@BNightengale) June 23, 2020
What are your thoughts? Should the MLB be playing this short season?
