A story has emerged (originally reported by the New York Times) regarding Russians putting bounties on American troops head’s in an attempt to incite Taliban violence towards US troops.
Here’s the original claim written on Fox News
A Russian spy unit paid members of Afghanistan’s Taliban movement to conduct lethal attacks on U.S. troops in that country, according to a classified American intelligence assessment, people familiar with the report said.
Trump responded to the call for more information stating he was not briefed on this event. The reasoning he gave was that the intelligence committee did not see the evidence as credible.
Here’s his comment regarding it:
Intel just reported to me that they did not find this info credible, and therefore did not report it to me or @VP. Possibly another fabricated Russia Hoax, maybe by the Fake News @nytimesbooks, wanting to make Republicans look bad!!! https://t.co/cowOmP7T1S— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) June 29, 2020
What do you think? Do you trust Trump more or the undisclosed informant to the New York Times?
Let me know in the comments below. I read them all.
