(StrictlyNews.com) – President Joe Biden just gave a speech to the nation (you can watch part of the speech in the tweet below) and said that American families will sleep easier at night because of the news he was sharing. What was the good news in Biden’s opinion? Vaccines. More vaccines. This time for children.
Specifically, Biden said that in the next few weeks, government agencies charged with determining the safety of the various COVID-19 vaccines would issue their determination on whether it’s safe to vaccinate children as young as five years old.
Currently, children aged 12 and up are permitted to get the coronavirus vaccine – meaning millions of school-age children remain unvaccinated.
Biden went on to say that once the designated agencies give the okay, the government is prepared to vaccinate all children from the age of 5 to 11 because the government has already purchased a large enough amount of the vaccine to cover that age range.
Biden believes because of what he and his administration will be doing to vaccinate children as young as five, “families will be able to sleep easier at night knowing their kids are protected.”
What do you think? Watch the video below and decide for yourself. Will American families sleep easier once kids age 5 to 11 are being vaccinated?
BIDEN: “We are ready. We have purchased enough vaccines for all children, between the ages of 5 and 11, in the United States…families will be able to sleep easier at night knowing their kids are protected.”pic.twitter.com/IFkaESL4Sx
