(StrictlyNews.com) – Just when you thought the facts surrounding the homicide of Gabby Petito and the subsequent death of her boyfriend Brian Laundrie can’t get any more bizarre and convoluted, they do.
As most every American knows by now, given the wall-to-wall media coverage of the murder of Gabby Petito in Wyoming while she was on a cross-country trip with her boyfriend/fiancé, Brian Laundrie, Laundrie’s body was located by his parents this past week exactly where they’d told law enforcement to look when they first acknowledged his disappearance if Florida.
In fairness to the police and search professionals who’d been looking for Laundrie, the location where his remains were found this week had been underwater until just recently due to heavy rains in that part of Florida that coincided with the time when Laundrie went missing.
Now, it’s apparent that Laundrie’s body was severely decomposed to the point of his remains being all but skeletal. So deteriorated that – and here’s the latest news – the coroner has been unable to determine the cause of death.
Yes, most everyone believes that Brian Laundrie killed himself because he’d killed Gabby, and he knew he would most likely spend years in prison for killing her. Still, what everyone believes and what law enforcement officials can prove are two different things. And, without a cause of death for Laundrie, a massive part of the puzzle remains unresolved.
So, what’s next? Well, the coroner has asked that an anthropologist study Laundrie’s bones to see if the anthropologist can determine the cause of death.
Coincidentally, that’s precisely how Gabby’s cause of death – strangulation – was determined.
Bottom line: The Gabby Petito tragedy and Brian Laundrie’s role in her tragic homicide grows more bizarre and twisted by the day.
