(StrictlyNews.com) – Happening Now: There’s been a significant development in the investigation of the nationally covered homicide of Gabby Petito and the subsequent disappearance of her fiance, Brian Laundrie. Whether this development will make a significant difference in how homicide detectives and FBI agents currently conduct their investigation or how prosecutors may or may not eventually proceed is hard to tell at this point. Still, it’s interesting that no one seemed to know what has now been revealed.
According to the attorney who Brian Laundrie’s parents retained to represent his family, the timeline of events that most reporters and Americans have been led to believe as accurate when it comes to the movement and activities of Gabby and Brian in the days leading up to her death is, in fact, inaccurate.

According to the attorney, Steven Bertolino, Brian left Gabby on August 17th. Supposedly, he flew home to Florida to purchase supplies, close down a rental storage unit, and then flew back to Salt Lake City, Utah, to meet back up with Gabby on August 23rd. That would mean that Gabby was alone out west with the van for close to a week, if accurate.
Additionally, Brian’s sister confirms that he did fly back to Florida and was in Florida several weeks before arriving back with the now infamous white van.
Does this impact the investigation as far as law enforcement is concerned? Those who’ve followed the case closely know that the last confirmed sighting of Gabby was on August 27th when she and Brian were at the Merry Piglet restaurant in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. So, if this new timeline is accurate, Brian would’ve been back with Gabby at least four days before that last public sighting of Gabby.
Brian Laundrie remains a fugitive with a warrant for his arrest issued out of Wyoming.
