(StrictlyNews.com) – According to the Cambridge English Dictionary, “wokeness” is defined as “a state of being aware, especially of social problems such as racism and inequality.”
And, according to an interesting article published by the good, conservative folks over at The College Fix, headlined, “University of Nevada-Reno’s New Language Guide Warns Against Using ‘Native Nevadan,’ Offensive to Indigenous People,” woke professors and experts have decided you are not adequately displaying wokeness if you refer to an individual born in a state as a native of that state as it might offend “indigenous people.”
Also, it turns out that, according to these liberal professors and experts, you’re not supposed to use words like “manhole” and “waiter” or waitress.” Clearly, some want to turn the entire English language upside down.
According to 50 "experts", you shouldn't use words like “manhole” and “waiter/waitress.” https://t.co/3FzI9ibQ6d pic.twitter.com/5sO0PZzyLK

According to the Editor-in-chief of the school’s newspaper, who described what he now believes after consulting with 50 “experts” at the university:
“I am also a white, heterosexual, cisgendered man with all the privilege that comes along with it. There are huge swathes of the human experience that I am not privy to…I am not an expert in which words cut deeply or which phrases are laced with a history of violence and oppression.”
Is it any wonder that a growing number of Americans – even liberals like the comedian Dave Chappelle and other entertainers – are rejecting the entire “wokeness” movement as having become drastically ridiculous? Ridiculous to the point of making it almost impossible to speak about anything or anyone?
We suspect that given that craziness, the backlash against wokeness will only grow. And, with good reason.
