Biden Plays the White Supremacist Card Against Trump

In a New York Times piece posted just a few hours ago, Ex-Vice President Joe Biden stated that:

“This president and his — the Ku Klux Klans and the rest of them, they think they’ve beaten us again. But they have no idea — we’re just coming back,” Mr. Biden told the congregation.

“I thought you could defeat hate,” he said. “But hate only hides. It never fully goes away,” he added, pointing to the outbreak of white supremacist violence in Charlottesville, Va., in 2017. “And they asked the president what he thought, and he said, ‘There were very fine people on both sides.’”

For the sake of transparency, we could not find a video of Biden actually stating this, not could we find a video of him speaking at this church that he stopped by at during his campaigning this weekend (Bethlehem Baptist Church in Columbia, South Carolina.)

Many news outlets have come and outright denied that Trump supported these individuals.

You can read a transcript of President Trump’s remarks here regarding the event and why he said what he said (as well as his statement on the timing of what he said.)
